Cotton Bobbins Window Display

Solve was briefed to produce 10 window display kits, for USC branded clothing/footwear stores. The oversized needle and thread concept was used to promote an in-store embroidery offer.

A traditional rope maker produced over 1 kilometre of specially commissioned rope, with a hollow core. Steel wire was then hand-inserted into this central core (not as easy as it sounds!). The window dressers could then make the thread ‘snake’ in and out of the display garments.

To give an idea of scale, the bobbins were each 600mm high.
